The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 Fitness Bracelet, like the previous model, consists of two parts. The first is a metal module and the other is a smooth silicone strip into which the module is inserted. The connection is better secured than the predecessor, so the tape module should not be dropped.
With the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S predecessor, it happened to me once that the metal module was dropped and the same scrutiny was noticed by more reviewers. The bracelet has a universal size and should fall, by its size, on any hand. The tape is replaceable, with a choice of several colors.
The bracelet is designed to be worn 24 hours a day and is very light, the module weighs just 7g. Once you put it on your hand, you get used to it quite soon and you soon forget you wear it. Xiaomi Mi Band bracelets are one of the most comfortable that you can buy.
Like the predecessor, the Xiaomi MI 2 smart bracelet also offers IP67 certification that ensures dust and water resistance for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 m. With the bracelet, you can either get wet or take a shower, but it is no longer recommended to swim. In my case, however, he managed several visits to the swimming pool without any problem.
When charging it is necessary to remove the module so that it can reach the charging two-pin connector on the side. The detached module simply connects to the charging adapter and charges via USB.
Display and technical parameters
The biggest novelty of the new Xiaomi is the 0.42 “monochrome OLED display. It is very clear and is relatively easy to read even in direct sunlight. The information displayed on the display can be set via the phone using Mi. You have time, steps, distance, burned calories, heartbeat and remaining batteries. The display covers a glossy panel that should be resistant to fingerprints and scratches. The touchpad is a touchpad that switches individual information. If you choose heart rate, the bracelet will measure it for a few moments. As with the predecessor, it does not measure the pulse continuously, and it is necessary to keep your hand calm.
The bracelet drives a battery of 70 mAh capacity and promises up to 20 days of stamina. It is possible to even exceed this problem quite a bit, depending on how many functions you use (not) the bracelet.
MI 2 Function
During the day, the bracelet measures the missed steps and distance and at night monitors your sleep. Step and sleep data are stored in history, with clear graphs and average values per week or month. In the application, it is possible to set a daily target (10,000 steps per day recommended) which will vibrate when the bracelet is completed.
Measuring steps during walking alone are very accurate even though I have a hand in the rest and kept the phone in it. Unfortunately, the bracelet during the day with different hand movements counted on the steps even though I did not go. In one case, he even alerted me to the successful completion of the goal (8000 steps) while sitting at the table.
