Recently, HTC’s unreleased mysterious smartwatch has quietly appeared on the Internet. The smartwatch, code-named “Halfbeak,” was once exposed in October last year, when there were only very blurry spy photos. However, this time directly exposed a set of photos, and the news broke the name of this forgotten prototype, which has many unknown stories.

In fact, this group of exposed HTC smart watches, and the design of last year’s spy photos are not very different, such as the round dial style, there is no black block at the bottom of the screen, the watch has a crown on the right side, the strap is a more common rubber material. On the back of the watch, you can see the brand name Under Armour, with a heart rate sensor and more. The screen resolution of the watch is said to be 360 × 360 pixels.
In addition, from the system boot screen, this HTC smartwatch runs Google’s Android Wear operating system, but it seems to be an older version.
In any case, if the spy photos of the exposure are not fake, it is basically confirmed that HTC has carried out the development of a new smartwatch, and has completed the prototype. However, the reason why HTC has not been released for the time being is temporarily unknown. There are currently two possibilities. HTC will never officially launch this watch, or HTC will be announced at the MWC 2017 Mobile World Congress at the end of February.
However, since HTC chose Under Armor to cooperate with this smartwatch, it is still more likely to be released soon, and if the device is still under development, according to the development progress, the smartwatch may also pre-install Google’s latest Android Wear 2.0 operating system.
